Rachel Robinson, Acting Chief Executive at Meningitis Now said, “The Meningitis Aware Recognition Mark for Pharmacies is a collaborative eLearning programme with Meningitis Now and funded by Pfizer. The programme aims to provide pharmacists with the information needed to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and how the public can maximise the benefits of the national immunisation programme.”
“To reach and train pharmacists across the UK, we needed a modern, flexible and cost-effective way to manage and deliver our Meningitis Aware programme.
The Agylia Learning Management System (LMS) was selected as the platform of choice to deliver the Meningitis Aware programme (designed and created by Agylia) to pharmacists across the UK - read the eLearning case study.
“Agylia took the time to listen to our requirements and understand our challenges,” explained Rachel. “They were able to demonstrate how we can use the Agylia LMS to deliver our eLearning programme to a geographically dispersed audience, which uses a wide range of technologies - and it was important to know we could support those pharmacists now and into the future.”
Agylia’s responsive learner portal provides pharmacists with access to the range of eLearning modules and assessments on the widest range of devices - desktops, tablets and mobiles.
Integration with Salesforce is a key requirement for Meningitis Now. Using the open APIs available with the Agylia LMS, user account details from Salesforce and content activity and completions from the Agylia LMS are seamlessly transferred between both platforms - ensuring valuable content and learner histories are maintained.

The ease of use of the Agylia LMS has been invaluable in delivering the Meningitis Aware programme. The Agylia LMS has provided everyone - whether that is Meningitis Now staff using the administration portal or pharmacists using the learner portal - with easy access to the information they need.
Rachel concluded, “The Agylia LMS has provided a very powerful and flexible delivery infrastructure, one that will grow with us into the future. Using Agylia we have been able to put ‘Meningitis Aware’ firmly in the minds of pharmacists across the UK. We are now able to provide them with the latest information to help them support their local community.”
