Agylia partners with The PGA to support member CPD and learning

The Professional Golfers’ Association partners with Agylia to support member CPD and learning experiences

Category: News

The Professional Golfers’ Association (The PGA) has selected Agylia to develop its new continuing professional development (CPD) and learning solution to enhance the support it provides its members, further cementing their members’ place as experts in the golf industry.

Modern day PGA Professionals specialise in much more than playing and coaching. The PGA National Training Academy leads the ongoing development of the education programmes offered to PGA Members across many aspects of golf business, including retail, marketing, finance and broader golf management, as well as psychology, nutrition and equipment technology and customisation.

The PGA sought to overhaul its old CPD policies and practices, and provide its 8,000 members worldwide with a new solution for modern and engaging CPD and learning experiences. Having evaluated a number of potential solutions, The PGA selected Agylia due to it being the only fully integrated solution with robust digital learning and CPD management capabilities, and Agylia’s experience working with professional membership organisations.

Dr Paul Wiseman, Executive Director - Education at The PGA said, “We’re really proud of our members, they’re experts in their fields. With our new CPD and learning platform, we seek to provide our members with a central forum for knowledge sharing and development, with which we can support them as they deliver the highest level of service to the golf industry.”

“Throughout the selection process Agylia were patient and supportive, and that certainly contributed to our decision to work with them. I’m confident that the Agylia platform will significantly impact upon our capacity and capability to transform the way our members view us as an organisation. This is a really exciting project to work on.”

The PGA will use the Agylia Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver a range of learning content to its member community, including eLearning courses, videos, documents, events and more - all accessible to PGA Members via a branded and easy-to-use portal.

Previously, mainly face-to-face training and qualifications were recognised as part of a PGA Members’ CPD record. With Agylia, PGA Members will be able to take ownership of their CPD by recording all types of learning, including digital learning content, in-house or external courses, work-based learning, self-directed private study, or attendance at conferences and events - all learning will form part of a PGA Members’ CPD record.
